JEA Announces Decision on Lease of New Downtown Building

Utility Will Proceed with Headquarters Project
Jacksonville, FL - JEA announced today that it has chosen to proceed with the new Corporate Headquarters building project located in the downtown core with Ryan Companies Inc US. JEA has been planning headquarters options for the past several years to address current building conditions and business continuity to serve its customers. “The decision to move forward is the right thing to do for JEA employees and customers and supports downtown development,” said Aaron Zahn, JEA Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, “The new headquarters will be capable of serving JEA as it exists today or in any other possible future state as a result of the current strategic planning process.”
JEA selected Ryan Companies after a competitive process and entered into a lease agreement in July for a build to suit headquarters.
