Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Remains in Effect for South Philips Highway, Nocatee Area

2023-08-23

JACKSONVILLE – JEA crews completed repairs Tuesday night to a damaged water main on South Philips Highway near Greenland Road, and all pressures in the area of impact have been restored to normal operating pressure.

A precautionary Boil Water Advisory for more than 25,000 JEA customers in the South Philips Highway and Nocatee areas remains in effect, as a result of Tuesday’s damage. Testing results from Tuesday’s samples showed clear results, and JEA is continuing testing today.

If results are clear again on Thursday morning, the precautionary Boil Water Advisory will be lifted for the impacted area. State regulations require that water utilities have two consecutive days of clear samples from a laboratory.

JEA continues to encourage all customers to conserve water.
