Welcome to the neighborhood! If you’ve never had service with JEA before, we’ll need to get you started with an account. You can do this all online, and will just need a few forms of identification, a deposit, and the service address. We may even be able to turn on service the same day.

Add Services to an Existing Account
You can start service at a new address any day of the week, except Sundays and on holidays, and you can schedule your desired start date up to 30 days in advance. This can be convenient during a move. Next-day service may not be available for new homes because of installation or inspection requirements.

Moving? Transfer Your Services
There are lots of last-minute things to do when moving to a new home. That’s why we’ve made it easy to cross one thing off your list. If you move within our service territory, all you need to do is transfer your present electric and/or water service. Simply complete a transfer request (up to 30 days before the desired transfer date) and we'll take care of the rest.
To stop your service, you will need to give us at least three days' notice. Turn-off service is available Monday through Friday, not including holidays.
- If you made a deposit, we'll apply it to your final bill.
- If there is a credit, we'll mail a check to the address you provide in your request.
