Electronic Plan Review and Document Digitization 

JEA's Water/Wastewater Planning and Development Department has begun implementation on a cloud-based solution for electronic document submittals and plan reviews. Our goal is to eliminate all paper plans and have a zero-square foot office storage space, while maintaining all required digital files for our records. 

This enhancement will provide organizational and customer benefits: a one-stop-shop for all development needs; electronic project files that are easily accessible to all JEA personnel; significant savings in paper and courier costs; and reduced cycle time for project processing (reviews, permitting, inspections). Our goal is to begin training partners and local developers in the Spring of 2020 with a launch in the Summer of 2020; however, final dates and times have not been solidified.
