All Storm Restorations Continue Today; JEA to Lift Limited Emergency Operations

JACKSONVILLE - JEA crews continue work to address remaining outages following Tropical Storm Nicole. The utility will lift its Limited Emergency status at 6 p.m. today.
JEA crews responded to and restored electric service to more than 91,000 customers since Wednesday night. At this time, fewer than 1,000 customers remain without power, and crews will continue restoration efforts throughout today.
“We appreciate customers’ patience as our crews work to address remaining outages. Rest assured, we won’t stop until everyone has power,” JEA Managing Director & CEO Jay Stowe said.
There have been no Sanitary Sewer Overflows as a result of Nicole, and only one small precautionary boil water advisory was declared Friday for a portion of the Northside.
JEA suspended disconnections for nonpayment during the storm; disconnections will resume beginning 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov.15.
The downtown customer center will reopen on Monday, Nov. 14. Customers can continue to pay bills on jea.com or by calling 904-665-6000.
