JEA employees are proud to work and live in the communities we serve. We’re committed to what we do because many of us are JEA customers too. This is just one of the reasons our employees raise funds for United Way and Community Health Charities and volunteer their time to an array of community organizations. At JEA we’re building community because its our community.
United Way of Northeast Florida
Since 1924, United Way has been the leading organization on the First Coast improving the lives of one of every three Northeast Florida citizens by addressing today’s immediate, basic needs, while focusing on long-term solutions.
JEA began hosting United Way campaigns in 1997. Through 2016, JEA employees have raised $7,594,729 through their pledge contributions, donations and funds raised at special events coordinated by our employees. For more information, please visit United Way of Northeast Florida.
United Way of Northeast Florida’s Alecia Givens presented JEA with the Circle of Honor Silver Award for employee support. JEA is ranked one of the 15 top giving companies to United Way of Northeast Florida.
Community Health Charities
Community Health Charities (CHC) of Florida represents more than 50 health charities in our state. CHC provides patient aid, educational resources and community outreach through member health charities. In 2016, our employees raised $75,000 for Community Health Charities through pledge contributions and special events.
Employee Collection Drives
Throughout the year, JEA hosts various collection drives to help our neighbors in need. All the items collected are donated by employees.
Back to School Drive
JEA employees donate backpacks, paper, pens, whatever students need to get the new school year off to a great start!
Holiday Food Drive
JEA employees donate can goods and non-perishable items which are distributed by a local non-profit organization.
Holiday Toy Drive and Adopt A Family Project
Making the holidays bright is very important to JEA employees. Each year our employees team up to purchase toys and fulfill the holiday gift wish list for families across the First Coast.
Storm Preparation Tip
Make sure your JEA account information is up to date so we can reach you with power restoration updates.
