This application is for vendors to become pre-approved to bid on specific JEA Construction Projects. In order to bid on specific construction projects, vendors must first become approved Responsible Bidders and meet minimum RBL qualifications.

  1. OSHA calculated recordable incident Rate less than 9.0
  2. No fatal accidents in the last three years
  3. Subcontractors must demonstrate category related experience

CS-1A

  1. Florida Professional Engineer license (PE) for document/design sealing
  2. Demonstrated experience: References and three comparable jobs minimum, two in the southeast

CS-1B, CS-1C

  1. Florida Professional Engineer license (PE) for document/design sealing
  2. Demonstrated experience: References and three comparable jobs minimum, two in the southeast
  3. Andrew and/or Cablewave termination certification
  4. Anritsu, Bird, Wavetek, ect. Line sweep certification

CS-1D

Knowledge of communication grounding, communication site electrical work, coaxial cable termination, multi-mode fiber work, Ethernet and other communication related cabling installation, testing and repair typically found at communication facilities.

  1. Florida Electrical Contractors license (EC)
  2. In business for one year minimum with this license
  3. Demonstrated experience: References and five comparable jobs minimum, three in the southeast
  4. Andrew and/or Cablewave termination certification
  5. Anritsu, Bird, Wavetek, ect. Line sweep certification
  6. NATE
  7. OTDR and/or fiber loss/sweep test equipment experience
  8. Certification to work in secondary and telecommunications zone on JEA overhead and underground distribution

Requirements

One (1) project within the last five (5) years meeting the following:

  1. Cost of project greater than or equal to $200,000.00
  2. A valid Florida Well Drilling License prior to inclusion on the list.
  3. Drilling of a well with equal to or greater than 12-inch diameter casing and equal to or greater than at least 800 feet deep either in the Floridan Aquifer or outside the State of Florida.

  2. Contractor has a valid Florida General Contractor license

  1. Construction relating to a new installation, upgrade, expansion or maintenance and repair of a water treatment plant
  2. Contractor has a valid Florida General Contractor license

Step 2: JEA Bid Solicitation Information

We understand that our company must submit this application for JEA Responsible Bidders List (RBL) in order to be considered for qualification for the RBL categories we have indicated on this application. We understand that we may view a listing of the application online or contact the Bid Office at (904) 665-6740. We understand that such inclusion on the RBL is a requirement in order for us to be eligible to bid on work in the RBL categories and have our bids opened and evaluated.

If we are submitting this application in response to a solicitation for a specific project, we understand that our documentation must be received by your office by the stipulated date in the Solicitation (normally 21 days prior to bid due date) and that failure to submit all the required forms and substantiating information may result in further requests for information with resulting delays in the evaluation process and possible exclusion from the bid opening for the specified project.
