JEA to Provide Concierge Service for Customers Exploring Rooftop Solar

Jacksonville, FL - (April 25, 2024) – JEA’s residential and smaller commercial customers in Northeast Florida now have access to a comprehensive customer assistance program to provide an unbiased source of information on rooftop solar systems, or small-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) technology. In collaboration with Resource Innovations, a sustainable energy solutions provider, JEA’s Solar Concierge program will help ensure informed decision-making about potential solar installations by explaining such things as project costs, timing and the potential effect on their electric bill. 

Participating customers will be able to receive multiple solar installation project bids from verified contractors through tools on a new JEA resource, the Solar Concierge Program at jea.com/SolarConcierge.  

JEA will vet contractors, verifying that they meet business license and insurance requirements, have satisfactory ratings with the Better Business Bureau and have been trained by JEA experts on proper solar-to-residence interconnection procedures. However, JEA does not endorse, guarantee, or warranty the performance, quality of work, and/or services a pre-qualified contractor offers.  

By assembling a network of solar contractors, JEA aims to improve the relationship between customers and solar contractors and help prevent grievances, such as those stemming from faulty installations or misleading assertions regarding potential energy savings.
