JEA Invites Small Businesses, Suppliers to 2025 Supplier Summit

JACKSONVILLE, FL (Aug. 11, 2025) JEA is hosting a free Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business (JSEB) and Supplier Summit Aug. 18 at the UNF Adam W. Herbert University Center. 

The event will be presented as two programs. The morning session will focus on JSEB and Diverse Suppliers, providing small, emerging, and diverse business owners with information about upcoming opportunities and education on how to successfully do business with JEA. JEA leaders will provide remarks, and JEA procurement experts will present on upcoming projects that are aligned for JSEB participation. 

In the afternoon, JEA leaders will outline the utility’s major water and electric projects planned for the next three years. Presentations will include timelines, high-level descriptions and other critical information for large suppliers planning upcoming bids. 

JEA is dedicated to the City of Jacksonville’s Small and Emerging Business program, which helps establish and strengthen relationships with small business owners in our community. In fiscal year 2025, JEA is on track to meet its goal of 20 percent of available spend by contracting with small and emerging businesses, awarding more than $30 million in contracts to those vendors. 

JEA also has a robust Supplier Diversity Program that is inclusive of businesses of all sizes and from any location provided that they are certified by a third party as a diverse supplier. The program is open to business owners of many backgrounds including veterans, women, and minorities, as JEA is committed to creating a broad and diverse group of business partners.
