JEA Appointed Receiver of Normandy Village Utilities Systems to Ensure Reliable Service for Customers

Jacksonville, FL (Sept. 9, 2025) - JEA has been appointed receiver of the Normandy Village Utilities water and sewer systems by the court, ensuring safe and reliable water and sewer service for approximately 1,350 meters.
 

“Customers can be confident that JEA will provide reliable water and wastewater services throughout this process,” said Robert Zammataro, JEA Chief Water Systems Officer. “Our focus is on providing stability, transparency, and service improvements where needed. We look forward to working closely with the community in the weeks ahead.”

 

During the receivership:

· No immediate changes to rates will occur. NVU customers will still be billed for water and sewer services at their current rates.

· For water and sewer services, customers will continue to pay their bills as they have been until notified otherwise.

· This receivership only affects water and sewer services. No change to JEA electric services or billing.

· JEA has established a dedicated customer service line and online resources for NVU customers.

· A Community Town Hall will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, to answer questions and provide updates to the community.

 

JEA has a long history of serving Jacksonville and the surrounding communities with reliable utility services. The utility is working closely with state and local agencies to ensure a seamless receivership process and will provide regular updates to customers and community stakeholders.
