JEA Names Diane F. Moser Chief Human Resources Officer

JACKSONVILLE – JEA has hired longtime City of Jacksonville HR leader Diane F. Moser to be its chief human resources officer. She will be responsible for the development and implementation of organizational redesign efforts, talent acquisition, succession planning, compensation plans, and team member engagement efforts critical to JEA’s efficiency and productivity.

Moser served the City of Jacksonville for more than 30 years, most recently as director of employee services. Her responsibilities included overseeing talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, and employee benefits. Additionally, she served on the City of Jacksonville Pension Board.
Moser holds a master’s degree in psychology from the University of West Florida and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Florida. Her emphasis of study was industrial organizational psychology. She will begin her new role Oct. 7.
JEA also announced the promotion of Ricky Erixton to deputy chief operating officer. Erixton has worked at JEA in multiple leadership positions for more than 30 years, most recently as vice president, electric systems. He will continue to oversee electric systems along with his new duties.
Erixton began his JEA career as a co-op in 1989 and joined the company in a permanent role in 1991 as an engineer in the system operations department. He spent almost 20 years in system operations before being promoted to director, transmission and distribution maintenance in 2011 and to senior director, transmission and distribution in 2019. He was responsible for the maintenance of the entire JEA electric system, from the generation resources to the customer, before becoming interim vice president, electric systems in 2020, then taking on that role permanently in March 2021.
Erixton holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and holds a NERC System Operator Certification. He serves on the SERC Reliability Board of Directors. His new role begins Sept. 23.
