JEA and Jags Provide Meals, Holiday Cheer to Jacksonville Seniors

JACKSONVILLE, FL (Dec. 18, 2025) – On Thursday, JEA and the Jacksonville Jaguars partnered to distribute holiday meals to 100 Jacksonville seniors at EverBank Stadium, alongside several community partners and attendees, including Councilmember Johnson. The distribution included turkey, fresh fruits and vegetables, and other grocery items to help seniors create their own holiday meals, provided by The Corner at Debs Store.
The seniors arrived by bus from 17 City of Jacksonville senior centers. JEA and Jags volunteers welcomed them with meal bags & holiday greetings.
“The holiday season is a time for community, kindness and looking out for one another,” said JEA Chief Customer Experience Officer Dr. Charles Moreland. “Our goal is to support our customers and neighbors and to remind them that they are part of a community that cares.”
Here's a look at this morning’s event:
- Approximately 100 seniors served
- Buses from 17 City of Jacksonville Senior Services centers transported seniors to the event.
- 15 Jaguars employees
- 25+ JEA volunteers
- 15 Jaguars employees
- Each meal bag contained fruit, vegetables, turkey, stuffing, gravy, cornbread mix and cake mix.
