JEA Senior Day to Offer Bill Assistance, Summer Energy Savings Tips May 13

JACKSONVILLE, FL (May 12, 2026) – JEA invites senior customers to attend Senior Day at JEA on Wednesday, May 13, at JEA Headquarters, where they can learn about ways to conserve energy and water during summer months. 

Customers also can connect with local agencies and community resources, including the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency, which helps customers with utility assistance (LIHEAP), rental and housing assistance, and weatherization services, among other things.

Senior Day provides an opportunity for customers — particularly seniors on fixed incomes — to speak directly with JEA representatives about ways to manage bills, access payment options, and learn energy-saving strategies. JEA energy advisors will also share simple steps that can reduce electricity usage, including thermostat management, sealing air leaks, and improving home insulation.  

Community partners will also be available to assist seniors with financial resources and social services, including: 

  • City of Jacksonville Senior Services  
  • Catholic Charities 
  • ElderSource  
  • Jacksonville Transportation Authority  

Transportation assistance is available through Ride United, which offers prescheduled Lyft rides to eligible residents attending critical services such as Senior Day. Seniors can contact United Way 211 to determine eligibility.  

When: Wednesday, May 13, 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

: JEA Headquarters, 225 N. Pearl St., Jacksonville  
Parking: Validated parking is available at the Duval County Courthouse Garage, 151 N. Clay Street. Seniors should bring their parking voucher inside JEA for validation.
