A licensed plumber can assist you with determining the proper size meter for your home. Most homes will require a ¾ -inch meter.

Fees must be paid prior to connecting to the JEA Water System. If you have specific questions please contact JEA’s Water and Sewer Pre- Service Counter at (904) 665-5260.

Yes. The City of Jacksonville Utility Tap-In Program (UTIP) offers deferred payment loans to assist low to moderate income residents citywide with water line connection fees and associated plumbing costs.

Once connected to the system, you will see the new water charges added to your monthly JEA bill along with your electric usage.

The basic monthly charge for a ¾-inch meter is $18.90. You will also be billed for your water consumption, which is billed on a tiered basis.

Closed Title:What are the different tiered water usage levels?
Open Text:

Water consumption is billed at $0.93 per thousand gallons for the first 6,000 gallons; $2.60 per thousand gallons for the next 14,000 gallons; and $5.60 for every thousand gallons after the amount consumed goes over 20,000 gallons.
