Project Objective
JEA is upgraded and replaced a section of water main along Sibbald Road. This project was completed at the request of the City of Jacksonville as part of their storm drainage and sidewalk improvements.
As part of this work, JEA contractors relocated the water meters located on private property to align with future sidewalk plans. The meters in this area were originally installed on private property in the 1960s, which does not meet current JEA standards. This work will provide improved water pressure and enhanced system reliability.
Construction Conditions
A contractor working for JEA (Eagerton Plumbing) completed the plumbing work on private property to relocate water meters for the properties listed below. This certified plumber was hired by JEA, and the work was completed at no cost to the property owner.
The plumbing contractor will provide doorhangers to notify residents 48 hours prior to beginning work at their property. The plumbing contractor will knock on doors to notify occupants prior to any brief water outages. They will begin working at the properties closest to Gilchrist Road and generally work south.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the project has been completed. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
