Project Objective
JEA contractor crews (JB Coxwell Contracting) completed a project to extend two 20-inch chilled water mains along A. Philip Randolph Boulevard that will serve the future Four Seasons Hotel and future Jacksonville Shipyards development.
Chilled water systems efficiently supply chilled water to commercial buildings from a central plant using underground supply and return distribution pipes. The chilled water is then utilized by each building to provide air conditioning through their on-site air-handling units.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the project has been completed. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
