Sutton Lakes Electric Reliability Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2018-06-15
Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
NOTE: Completion dates are highly subject to change, and in some circumstances weekends, holidays and extended hours will be necessary.
Project Objective
JEA contractors have completed installation of new conduit, electric feeder cables and switch gears to connect to the conduit system originally installed by the developer. This new cable will allow JEA to back feed the subdivision should there be any future isolated electric outages. This new cable and switch gear will also help to improve JEA’s ability to restore power better than the current configuration (should such an outage incident occur).
Construction Areas
The majority of this work will take place along Willesdon Drive East, Willesdon Drive South, Willesdon Drive West, Alfa Romero Drive, Pierce Arrow Drive, Peerless Lane, Carlsburg Court, Englenook Drive, and across the Sandalwood Canal. Most of the construction activities will occur near transformers and electric manholes which are usually located in the City of Jacksonville right-of-way portion of some properties, usually closer to the sidewalk or road. This will involve boring and pull in of the new cables with winches.
Restoration of Project Area
Any grass, concrete, asphalt, or sprinklers damaged during the work will be replaced after the completion of the project.
