Nassau Well #1 Rehabilitation Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2024-04-04
Normal work hours will be during daylight hours Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Project Objective
JEA improved an existing potable water well at 96362 Piedmont Drive located inside of the Lofton Pointe community. This well is one of over 141 active wells that are part of JEA’s regional water supply transmission system. This well will improve our system’s overall water availability and reliability, while continuing to provide a robust water supply system throughout JEA’s service territory.
A contractor working for JEA (Jacobs) improved the well through a deepening and rehabilitation process which included mobilization and demobilization of a drilling rig and supported equipment to and from the site, borehole deepening by drilling, well rehabilitation and development, and evaluation and testing.
Construction Conditions
Construction activities occurred on JEA’s property and within Nassau County rights-of-way and easements.
