Conformance Standard
JEA continually works to make its web content and online resources accessible as part of its inclusion efforts. We are committed to providing a website that follows leading web accessibility practices and conforms to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative’s (WAI) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
- Periodic compliance scans are conducted to identify WCAG 2.1 AA violations. Violations will be corrected to the best of our ability.
- JEA is proud to partner with Level Access to ensure our website is accessible and functional for all our customers while providing free assistive technology. Download the assistive technology app
- JEA is committed to assessing, prioritizing, and updating all jea.com pages and applications that are determined to be non-ADA compliant. As a result, we are at varying stages of progress toward our accessibility goal and will provide updates as we continually work to improve our site.
- Some of our content is available only as PDFs. We are developing a process to ensure all PDFs are accessible.
- Due to current technological constraints, we are sometimes unable to provide information in an accessible format (e.g., mapping information). We will monitor these sections and develop accessible solutions as technology improves.
Upon request, all information on JEA websites can be provided in an alternative format, or JEA staff can arrange to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.
