2015.02 Board Meeting

Environmental Incident Reporting

On December 30, 2016, an Administrative Law Judge invalidated a proposed pollution notification rule for the State of Florida that required the reporting of pollution events to the local government and media outlets. To keep the public informed, JEA will continue to provide public access to reports made to local and state agencies.


SJRPP Decommissioning Planned for 2018

JEA and Florida Power & Light Company have agreed to terms to decommission the St. Johns River Power Park, a 1,252 MW coal-fired electric generating plant owned jointly by JEA and FPL, in early 2018.
