Race Track Road Power Pole Relocation Project

A contractor working for JEA (C and C Power Line) completed a project to replace several power poles along Race Track Road. This pole relocation project was completed in preparation for the St. Johns County and Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) road widening of Race Track Road, per JEA’s agreement with the Bartram Springs Community Development District. A total of eight (8) existing transmission poles with nine (9) new transmission poles were replaced. 

During construction, there were periodic lane closures on the east-bound lane of Race Track Road, between Bartram Park Boulevard and Bartram Springs Parkway. There were also brief, 5-minute traffic interruptions in both directions of Race Track Road during delivery of the new poles.

These brief traffic interruptions will took place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. There were no lane closures or maintenance of traffic on weekends or holidays.
