Electric Vehicle Incentives
EVs are available in a number of body styles including sedans, compacts, sports, and crossovers. They can suit every type of lifestyle from a Beaches resident who commutes to Orange Park, or for an Urban Core resident crossing into San Marco.
Electric Vehicle Rebates
Whether you are buying or leasing a new Plug-in Electric Vehicle, JEA has a rebate for you. Rebate amounts vary depending on battery size and are for plug-in electric passenger type vehicles (all electric and hybrid) licensed to operate by Florida Department
of Motor Vehicles. Rebates applications must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase or lease of your vehicle. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing.

Electric Vehicle Tax Benefits
There are federal tax credits available depending on the capacity of the battery in your electric vehicle. The credits range from $2,500 - $7,500 and are available for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Extended Range
Electric Vehicles (EREV). There are also tax credits available for for businesses and individuals who purchase charging equipment for their plug-in electric vehicles.

Electric Vehicle Insurance Benefits
Florida Statute 627.06535 protects consumers from additional charges from insurance providers for their plug-in electric vehicles. Furthermore, some insurance providers offer a discount on vehicle premiums for electric vehicle owners. Ask your insurance provider about electric vehicle discounts when shopping for a new electric vehicle.
