Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2023-09-29
Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
*In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends will be required.
Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Jacobs) completed testing of the existing potable water well located at 713 Carlton Street. This well is one of over 141 active wells that are part of JEA’s regional water supply transmission system. The results obtained by this investigative determined the well is a good candidate for future rehabilitation.
Construction Conditions
This project involved the removal of the well pump by a large crane to allow for the contractor to inspect the well casing. Once the well pump was removed, the discharged water from the well was free flowing, controlled and directed to flow within the confines of the street utilizing the existing curb, gutter and stormwater inlets along Carlton Street.
Construction activities will take place on JEA’s property, rights-of-way and easements.
