MyWay: Making Changes in Your MyUsage Account

« Return to video

Hello Everyone, I’m Brian Pippin. In this video I’ll show you how to make changes to your alerts in your MyUsage.com account, as well as your general account information. But first, let’s start with your alerts.

Click on the settings tab and it will automatically take you to the Manage Alerts tab. Scroll down to view active alerts and alerts settings. On this tab you will be able to add, remove or update the way we alert you and the times.

To edit an alert, simply click on the change settings hyperlink on the bottom of the Alert Settings box. This will take you to a page that will allow you to remove a phone number and add a new one. Need to change an email address in the MyUsage.com system? Here’s where you do it.

This is also where you increase or decrease the low balance threshold for your account. In other words, say you want to be alerted when your account has $20 in it, not $25. Simply change your low threshold balance to $20. Scroll to the bottom and click “change” and you’re done.

You can also add alerts from the Alerts Settings box. To do so, click the Add Alert hyperlink at the bottom of the Alert Settings box. On the Add Alert screen you will need to choose an Alert Type, Alert Method and the time you would like to receive the alert. Choose your preferred time from the drop down menu. After selections have been made, remember to click add. Your new alert will be shown under Active Alerts. To remove an alert, click the Delete Hyperlink to the right of the alert you want to remove.

As you can see from these videos, MyUsage.com is designed to be user friendly just like the JEA MyWay program. MyUsage.com is usage at your fingertips. I’m Brian Pippin and don’t forget to log out.
