Spring Tree - Spring Pointe Emergency Sewer Repair Project

Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2016-09-30
This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date
Roads Affected
Evan Samuel Road, Julia Marie Drive, Springtree Road
Project Objective
JEA crews are currently replacing several failing sanitary sewer manholes located in the Spring Pointe and Spring Tree subdivisions.
Construction Conditions
Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. Detour signs and barricades will be posted to guide vehicles around the construction area. JEA will be required to bypass the sewer flow around the failing manholes with pumps that will be required to run 24 hours a day until the work is completed. Crews have also set-up dewatering pumps to remove the water from the soil prior to any digging.
Installation of Temporary Road
Due to your subdivision having limited entrances and exits for vehicle access, JEA has built a single lane temporary road around some work areas in the City right-of-way. These temporary roads are very narrow and uneven so drivers will need to drive slowly with caution through the detour. Please plan ahead for traffic delays. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer manholes have been repaired and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, trees, grass, curb, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
