JEA GreenEdge Fertilizer Giveaway Official Rules

These Official Rules apply to the JEA GreenEdge Fertilizer Giveaway Promotion ("Promotion") being conducted by JEA. This Promotion begins Friday, April 15, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. (EDT) and ends on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (EDT) (the "Promotion Period"). THIS PROMOTION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW OR REGULATORY ORDER BY THE FLORIDA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION. RECEIPT OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES DOES NOT CONSTITUTE ENTRY INTO THE PROMOTION.

ELIGIBILITY:

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY FOR REGISTERING, ENTERING, OR WINNING A PRIZE IN THIS PROMOTION. THIS PROMOTION IS OPEN TO JEA CUSTOMERS WHOSE ACCOUNTS ARE IN GOOD STANDING, HAVE A VALID JEA ACCOUNT NUMBER, AND WHO ENTER THE PROMOTION WITHIN THE PROMOTIONAL PERIOD.

“Participant(s)”: This Promotion is open to legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands), who are 18 years or older at the time of entry, and who have entered into the Promotion by posting appropriate photo or video content to JEA’s Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/newsfromjea). Employees of JEA (permanent or temporary), its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, reward or Prize suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies, including Administrator, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses) and individuals living in the same households of such employees are ineligible to participate.

HOW TO ENTER:

Participants must enter this Promotion by submitting appropriate photo or video content based from their personal Facebook account based on the instructions in the JEA social media post at JEA’s Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/newsfromjea. Entries submitted through any other method will not be considered valid entries into this Promotion. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, April 29, 2022. LIMIT: Only one entry permitted per participant. All entries become the property of JEA. By entering into this Promotion, each entrant agrees to JEA’s use of his/her personal information as described in JEA’s Privacy/Disclaimers website (www.jea.com/Privacy_and_Disclaimers) and in these Official Rules. In the event of any discrepancy between the privacy policy and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall control and govern.

PRIZES:

“Prize(s)”: A total of TWENTY-FIVE (25) Prizes will be awarded to TWENTY-FIVE (25) Participants who enter during the Promotion Period as stated in these Official Rules. Each winner will receive four (4) bags of GreenEdge Slow Release Lawn & Garden Fertilizer with a total approximate value of $52.

HOW TO RECEIVE A PRIZE:

Winning Participants will be chosen at random from all comments posted to the JEA social media post announcing the Promotion. After selecting winning entries, JEA will contact the Participants via the Facebook account used to enter the Promotion. All awards will be under the direction of JEA’s Administrative Staff. Entries are declared made by the Participant at the time of entry submission. A Participant claiming a potentially winning entry may be required to provide JEA with proof that the Participant is the authorized JEA account holder for the address associated with the potentially winning entry.

AVAILABILITY OF PRIZES:

Promotion odds are based on the total number of qualified entries received. Only the above-referenced Prizes will be awarded in this Promotion.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNING PARTICIPANTS:

Each winning Promotion Participant’s name will be posted in a follow-up message JEA will post to Facebook after the Promotion concludes. He/she also will receive a private Facebook message from JEA indicating they have won a prize. The message will include instructions on how to obtain the Prize from GreenTechnologies LLC. The Prize will be forfeited if the recipient is in non-compliance with these Official Rules or if the selected potential recipient cannot be contacted or does not respond, provides incorrect contact information, is ineligible, or fails to claim the Prize by the stated deadline. The winning Participant will be contacted up to three (3) times by Facebook message to claim their prize. In the event a winning Participant does not respond within seven (7) calendar days of the initial contact attempt, JEA will choose another winning entry from the pool of validly submitted entries. Winning participants will have up to fourteen (14) calendar days from the date they were contacted by JEA to claim their prize in-person at GreenTechnologies LLC in Jacksonville during its standard business hours. Acceptance of a Prize constitutes permission for JEA to use winning Participant’s name, voice, likeness, along with his or her address (city and state); and the right to use and publish their entries, proper name, and any statements made or attributed to such winner (collectively, the “Attributes”) in any and all media, unless prohibited by law. This includes, but is not limited to, media now known or hereafter devised, without notice, review or approval, in perpetuity and throughout the universe for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with this Promotion without further compensation, and releases JEA from all claims arising out of the use of such Attributes.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

By entering this Promotion, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. If any non-compliance with the Official Rules or failure to respond and execute and return the appropriate forms within the applicable time period noted in these Official Rules, it will result in forfeiture of the Prize and an alternate winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. In accepting the Prize from JEA, winning Participants shall release JEA, and its officers, directors, and employees from any injuries, damages or losses of any kind including death that may arise out of the participation in this Promotion or out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of the Prize. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of actual eligible entries received.
