Verona Avenue Water Improvement Project

Project Objective
As part of the Small Diameter Pipe Replacement Project to modernize more than 200 miles of JEA’s existing potable water distribution system. JEA crews replaced and upgraded portions of the water lines on Ortega Forest Drive from Ortega Island Drive to Verona Avenue, Verona Avenue from Ortega Forest Drive to Water Oak Lane, King Richard Road from Eton Lane to Avon Lane, Queen Lane from Verona Avenue to Avon Lane, Milstead Road from Westfield Road to Martingale Road, Westfield Road from Water Oak Lane to Milstead Road, Homestead Road from Milstead Road to Water Oak Lane, Tanbark Road from Milstead Road to Water Oak Lane, and Martingale Road from Milstead Road to Water Oak Lane. This project will improve water pressure and enhance the overall quality and reliability of water service in the area.
Construction Areas
Construction primarily took place in the City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and utility easements.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the project has been completed. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
