Brierwood Lift Station Overhead to Underground Electric Conversion

Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2018-04-30
This project has been completed. Below is the information provided by customers.
Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Henkles & McCoy) converted the electric lines feeding the Brierwood Lift Station transformer from overhead to underground. This work will assist with overall electric system reliability. JEA did not complete any work at the individual electric meter that serves residences.
Construction Conditions
This overhead to underground conversion project will require several pieces of equipment to be set up in the immediate area, as well as several large trucks parked along the street during construction. Every effort will be made to ensure that access to the road and your home is maintained.
Planned Power Outages
We do not anticipate any customers will experience power outages during this project. However, in the event a planned outage is needed, residents will receive 48-hours notice.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the underground lines have been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
