Managing Costs Responsibly

Strategic Financial Management
- More than $90 million saved through natural gas hedging strategies since FY19
- Approximately $12 million in annual savings through natural gas prepayment agreements
- Approximately $56.7 million in savings through debt refinancing and debt risk reduction efforts
Smarter Project Delivery

Upcoming Rate Adjustments
On June 30, 2026, the JEA Board of Directors approved a rate adjustment that will take effect on October 1, 2026.
What to Expect
While the approved adjustments vary based on your utility service, meter size, and usage. Below are the average impacts for residential and small commercial customers
- Residential water and sewer: Customers using 6,000 gallons per billing cycle may see an average increase of $5.82 per month.
- Residential electric: Customers using 1,000 kWh per billing cycle may see an average increase of approximately $3.02 per month. .
- Small commercial electric: Customers using 6,000 kWh per billing cycle may see an average increase of approximately $7.96 per month
