Program Overview

Heating and cooling make up a significant portion of your home’s energy bill—nearly 50 percent for the average household.* Switching to an ENERGY STAR® certified central A/C unit or central heat pump can make a big difference when it comes to cutting costs and energy use.

ENERGY STAR certified central A/C units use up to 8 percent less energy than traditional units, and ENERGY STAR certified heat pumps use up to 5 percent less energy, savings which help pay for themselves.**

To help you get started, JEA offers $200 in rebates on ENERGY STAR-certified HVAC systems and $25 in rebates for ENERGY STAR-certified Smart Thermostats installed at the same time as the ENERGY STAR-certified HVAC system.
