These Official Rules apply to the JEA Electronic Billing Promotion ("Promotion") being conducted by JEA. This Promotion begins Monday, April 7, 2014, at 12:01 AM (EDT) and ends on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11:59 PM (EDT) or until all iPads have been awarded (the "Promotion Period."). THIS PROMOTION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW OR REGULATORY ORDER BY THE FLORIDA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION. RECEIPT OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES DOES NOT CONSTITUTE ENTRY INTO THE JEA ELECTRONIC BILLING PROMOTION. ENROLLMENT IN JEA’S ELECTRONIC BILLING SERVICE DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.
ELIGIBILITY:
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY FOR REGISTERING, ENTERING, OR WINNING A PRIZE IN THIS PROMOTION. THIS PROMOTION IS OFFERED ONLY TO JEA CUSTOMERS WITH VALID JEA ACCOUNT NUMBERS WITHIN THE PROMOTIONAL PERIOD.
“Participant(s)”: This Promotion is open only to legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands), who are 18 years or older at the time of entry, and who have entered into the Promotion by subscribing in JEA’s Electronic Billing service on JEA’s website, www.JEA.com and continuing the subscription at a minimum through the Promotion Period. Employees of JEA (permanent or temporary), its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, reward or Prize suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies, including Administrator, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses) and individuals living in the same households of such employees are ineligible to participate.
HOW TO ENTER:
Participants must enter this Promotion by subscribing to JEA’s Electronic Billing service on JEA’s website, www.jea.com. Entries submitted by mail or through any method other than online submission as described in these Official Rules will not be considered valid entries into this Promotion. “Electronic Billing” is a free electronic billing service provided by JEA. All registrations must be received by 11:59 PM (EDT) May 19, 2014. JEA will only receive entries into this Promotion through subscriptions submitted through its website, www.jea.com. LIMIT: Only one entry per JEA account number and only one entry per e-mail address. All registration/entries become the property of JEA and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering into this Promotion, each entrant agrees to JEA’s use of his/her personal information as described in JEA’s Privacy/Disclaimers website (www.jea.com/Privacy/Disclaimers.aspx) and in these Official Rules. In the event of any discrepancy between the privacy policy and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall control and govern.
PRIZES:
“Prize(s)”: A total of THREE (3) Apple® iPad Air® Model MD785LL/A (16GB, Wi-Fi, Black with Space Gray) devices will be awarded to THREE (3) Participants who have validly subscribed and continue to subscribe in the JEA Electronic Billing service during the Promotion Period as stated in these Official Rules. The Approximate Retail Value for each Prize is $499 (U.S. Dollars). No internet service is provided with the Prize(s).
HOW TO RECEIVE A PRIZE:
Winning Participants will be chosen at random. After selecting winning entries, JEA will contact the Participants using the information provided by the Participant in his/her Promotion entry. JEA will contact Participants through Certified Mail and an email notification. All awards will be under the direction of JEA’s Administrative Staff. Entries are declared made by the authorized JEA account holder at the time of entry submission. A Participant claiming a potentially winning entry may be required to provide JEA with proof that the Participant is the authorized JEA account holder for the address associated with the potentially winning entry.
AVAILABILITY OF PRIZES:
Promotion odds are based on the total number of qualified entries received. Only the above-referenced Prizes will be awarded in this Promotion.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNING PARTICIPANTS:
Each winning Promotion Participant must claim the iPad Air® Prize in person from JEA’s Customer Center located at 21 West Church Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202. Each winning Participant may be required to verify ownership of a winning entry through presentment of JEA’s notification of winning entry and valid photo identification. The Prize will be forfeited if the recipient is in non-compliance with these Official Rules or if the selected potential recipient cannot be contacted, provides incorrect email or mailing address, is ineligible, fails to claim the Prize by July 14, 2014, or if the Prize notification or Prize is returned as undeliverable. In the event a winning Participant does not respond before July 14, 2014, JEA will choose another winning entry from the pool of validly submitted entries received before 11:59 PM (EDT) May 19, 2014. Acceptance of a Prize constitutes permission for JEA to use winning Participant’s name, voice, likeness, along with his or her address (city and state); and the right to use and publish their entries, proper name, and any statements made or attributed to such winner (collectively, the “Attributes”) in any and all media, unless prohibited by law. This includes, but is not limited to, media now known or hereafter devised, without notice, review or approval, in perpetuity and throughout the universe for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with this Promotion without further compensation, and releases JEA from all claims arising out of the use of such Attributes.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
By entering this Promotion, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Participants selected to win a Prize will be notified by Certified Mail and by email following the drawing. If the Prize notification letter and email are both returned as undeliverable or any non-compliance with the Official Rules or failure to respond and execute and return the appropriate forms within the applicable time period noted in these Official Rules, it will result in forfeiture of the Prize and an alternate winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. In accepting the Prize from JEA, winning Participants shall release JEA, and its officers, directors, and employees from any injuries, damages or losses of any kind including death that may arise out of the participation in this Sweepstakes or out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of the Prize. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of actual eligible entries received.
