JEA wants to help you get the most out of your EV! There’s a variety of incentives available on vehicles and chargers. If you’re considering a purchase or upgrade, explore available rebates, tax credits, and other benefits below to see if you qualify.

Available Incentives


At this time, JEA does not offer any incentives for the purchase of an EV or EV charging stations. 

Incentive Updates

  • New enrollment for Off-Peak Charging and Electric Upgrade Incentives closed, effective November 15, 2025. Current participants will continue receiving eligible off-peak charging rebates through December 31, 2025. Final rebates will be issued in mid-January 2026.
  • Electrical Upgrade Rebate applications will close November 30, 2025. Applications must be submitted, including itemized invoice showing work was completed within the last 60 days by November 30, 2025. 

 

The US Federal government currently offers three primary incentives for EV adoption.


New EV Purchase Tax Credit Used EV Purchase Tax Credit EVSE Installation Tax Credit
A federal tax credit of up to $7,500 is available for the purchase of qualifying EVs, if you meet certain income and other requirements. Even if your EV is not on the qualifying list of your household income exceeds the limits, you may be able to benefit from the tax credit by leasing. A federal tax credit of up to $4,000 is available for the purchase of a used EV, if you and the vehicle meet certain requirements. A federal tax credit for installing an EV charger (EVSE) at your home or business for up to $1,000 available.

H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, was signed into law on July 4, 2025.

At this time, Florida does not offer any incentives for the purchases of EVs or EV charging stations.

Funding approved under the Federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) for electrification, including wiring upgrades has been delegated to the State of Florida for disbursement to Florida residents.   No information is currently available from the State of Florida about when those incentives will become available.
