Summer has come early this year, with the heat index expected to reach well over 100 degrees. As temperatures increase so can utility bills. Cooling systems have to run longer during the summer, even when the thermostat is set at a fixed temperature. In fact, cooling the house in the summer makes up almost 50 percent of the electric portion of the utility bill.
The next JEA Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 21. JEA offers live streaming of its monthly board meetings, so you can participate from the comfort of your own home. Of course, you are always welcome to attend in person.
