Six crews from CPS Energy in San Antonio worked to restore a Texas-sized outage in Avondale, and residents couldn’t have been more appreciative.

Woman says: “I love Texas. Thank you Texas for getting our power back.”

JEA has brought in an additional 43 mutual aid crews from municipal electric cities in Georgia, Tampa and Missouri. FPL will also add crews tomorrow. Hurricane Matthew caused significant damage to JEA’s electric system and crews have been working round the clock since then to return everyone to normalcy.  Residents are grateful for the effort.

Man says: “It’s very impressive watching them work. The ground crew anticipates what the guys in the bucket need and as soon as they finish one stage, they’re sending them up the next piece so it’s really quite impressive.”

JEA has 100 contractors working on tree removal and more than 14-hundred people working on power restoration. The entire company is in emergency restoration mode and hopes to complete service restoration for all customers by midnight on Monday.
