Jacksonville, FL - JEA announced yesterday that it has named Caren Anders its new VP/General Manager of Energy, effective January 2, 2019. Ms. Anders’ appointment comes following an extensive national search for a replacement for Mike Brost, who will retire after 35 years of service.

Employed with Duke Energy since 2007, Ms. Anders currently serves as Vice President, Operations Support, where she is responsible for strategy and governance, asset management and contractor management.

“As we embark on our strategic planning process, Caren’s wealth of experience will help ensure that JEA continues to deliver reliable, affordable, safe energy to our customers while guiding us toward an exciting and innovative future,” said Melissa Dykes, JEA President and Chief Operating Officer. “We are thankful to Mike for his many contributions to the success of JEA, and grateful that he and Caren will work together to ensure a seamless transition in leadership for JEA and its valued customers prior to his official retirement.”
