- JEA Black History Month Poster Contest
JEA Black History Month Poster Contest
In celebration of 2023 Black History Month, JEA held a poster contest with local 6th, 7th and 8th graders from Darnell-Cookman School of Medical Arts. Each poster had to portray Black Resilience. When the contest ended on January 26th, more than 100 entries were received.
A panel of judges (JEA Black History Committee) rated the posters for the message, creativity and originality. Below are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners from each grade (click on each image for larger view):

JEA offers free educational and science materials as well as programs to local schools. During the 2013-2014 school year, we provided more than 67,000 pieces of educational material to local schools to help educate them on conservation.
