Earth Day 2011
Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. –4 p.m.
The Jacksonville Landing

Earth Day is an annual event focusing on environmental sustainability, solutions and education. Join Jacksonville in celebrating the planet we all call home. Our mission is to heighten awareness of the precious nature of our earth and to restore and protect our environment through individual action.

Help us fulfill this mission by heightening environmental awareness. How?

Do you have an exciting idea for a project that would help us realize how important it is to clean our air, save our trees, keep toxins out of our river, or otherwise further environmental education? Earth Day, Inc. will award grants of up to $500 to groups who will implement environmental educational programs.

Who can apply?
Any non-profit organization, environmental club or school youth group in the Northeast Florida area First Coast (Nassau, Baker, St. Johns, Clay or Duval) counties. All programs/projects will be judged on meeting these criteria:

  • Innovative Ideas
  • Educational Value
  • Degree of Impact on Our Community

Deadline April 4, 2011
Grants will be awarded April 16, 2011.

Send applications to:
