JEA's Solar Incentive Program

Get with the program – JEA’s Solar Incentive Program. When you invest in a solar water heating system, you also invest in the environment.

JEA pays incentives to JEA customers who install solar water heating systems in their house or business. Just choose a contractor from our list of pre-qualified solar contractors Adobe Acrobat PDF Document. At the time of purchase, you will be quoted the system price, less the JEA incentive.

JEA will pay the following incentives:

  • $800 per installation to qualified residential customers
  • 30% of the system’s cost for qualified pre-approved commercial systems ($5,000 maximum limit)
  • The incentive only applies to the installation of a solar water heating system. It does not apply to pool heating systems or photovoltaic (PV) systems.

  • Lower cost for installed solar energy system provides quicker payback
  • Customer receives incentive immediately
  • Lower electric bills and higher energy self-sufficiency
