NEW JEA BRANCH OFFICES GIVE CUSTOMERS NEW CHOICES TO PAY,
NEW CHANCES TO WIN

Yesterday, JEA opened its first new branch office at 1108 Dunn Avenue as part of its city-wide plan to have seven payment locations dedicated to serving JEA customers. The new JEA locations will be open longer hours, including Saturdays, and will have additional staff on duty to reduce waiting times for customers. As the new offices open, the Jacksonville Tax Collector Offices in the general area will stop conducting JEA business. However, for the convenience of our customers, the Tax Collector office at Soutel Drive will continue to accept JEA payments.

JEA has also announced payment choices for the many customers who do not want to conduct business in person. JEA customers can choose to pay over the internet by using their bank's online bill payment service, or pay directly at jea.com. And, JEA will continue to offer E-Z Pay, which gives customers the option of authorizing their bank to deduct their JEA payment and transfer it directly to the utility. Of course, the most popular customer choice, paying by mail, will not be changed.

On Oct. 21, JEA will open its second new branch office at 7628 103rd Street. JEA plans to open its third branch at 11140 Beach Blvd. the week of Dec. 16. Each new branch will hold one grand prize drawing each of the first three months it is open. Every customer who visits a new branch office will get a chance to win a new television in month one, a new DVD player in month two and a $200 mall gift certificate in month three, just in time for holiday shopping.

JEA's new branches will also offer extended hours and Saturday service to make doing business with JEA even more convenient. All new JEA payment locations will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:00 a.m to noon on Saturdays.
