JEA EMPLOYEES DONATE HUNDREDS OF TOYS

JEA employees collected more than 500 toys for children in need on the First Coast. The donations from JEA’s Annual Holiday Toy Drive benefited the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

“We’re so happy to be able to give back to our community,” said Voncea Fuller, JEA Community Outreach Coordinator. JEA employees really pulled together to support our outreach effort to help make the holidays brighter for children in foster care.“

The toys were delivered to DCF on earlier this month to give the staff and volunteers an opportunity to begin sorting and wrapping the gifts for children in their foster care program.

“We are astounded at the generosity of JEA employees,” said Liz Way, Community Resources, Florida Department of Children and Families. “We have hundreds needy and foster children through-out the First Coast. JEA’s donations to our “Happy Holidays” program will help make this an extra special holiday season and bring smiles to so many deserving faces.”

For more information on how you can help the children at the Department of Children and Families, contact Liz Way at (904) 723-2103.

JEA is the eighth largest community owned electric utility in America providing electricity, water and sewer services to more than 750,000 accounts in Northeast Florida.
