Project Objective

JEA crews will replace a 260-foot section of failing sanitary sewer pipe located on Post Street from 2772 Post Street to 2726 Post Street.

Construction Conditions

Construction will occur in the City’s rights of way and easements. This work may require the removal of ground water with a pump system prior to any pipe installation. Residents that reside within the project boundaries will be provided access and are permitted to drive (with caution) within the construction area.

Temporary Road Closures

This emergency pipe installation will require the temporary closure of Post Street between King Street and James Street. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.

Eastbound traffic on Post Street will be detoured to King Street, left on College Street, left on James Street and back to Post Street.

Westbound traffic on Post Street will be detoured right on James Street, left on Forbes Street, left on King Street and back to Post Street.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been installed and the de-watering system removed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
